Vanessa is a Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Art Therapist and is the owner of Kind-heARTed Studio. Her clinical focus is is working with children, families and individuals dealing with a variety of issues: anger, depression, anxiety, PTSD & trauma, separation, emotional and behavioural issues, personal growth. 


Art Therapy is similar to talk therapies but introduces art making as a way to enhance the communication process. Some people may find talking to a professional intimidating, while others may struggle to find the right words to express themselves. Vanessa is passionate about her work and has seen art therapy provide healing, awareness and growth for several of the clients she has worked with. Drawing utilizes the right side of the brain, where our sensory and emotional experiences are stored.  Through the use of shapes, imagery, symbols, and colours - art becomes a tool in therapy that can help access issues much quicker than just talking.  Art therapy is a safe and effective way to work with clients of all ages.
